Fresh skin

Skin is in; especially fresh, dewey skin that radiates a youthful glow. You can say goodbye to the intense mattifying foundations of 2015 and welcome in the light, fresh skin looks of 2016. Lookout for light-as-air foundation formulas that go on smooth and leave you with a lit-from-within look.

Natural eyebrows

If you're still trying to figure out exactly how to get those perfectly polished eyebrows, you can give up the battle. A more natural brow look is becoming popular, one with a little less polish, more texture and less of the "I spent 30 minutes drawing these brows on" style. Expect more powders and light pencils to be popular compared to the pomades and heavy creams or gels.

Clown contour no more

Thankfully the days of "clown contouring" and all other heavy and intense contouring are coming to an end. Strobing, the technique of creating depth and contour to your face with highlight only, is still a hot trend and will continue to pop up all over Instagram throughout this year.

Ever confused by the concealer kits that have purple, green, peach, or even red? Expect to learn how to use them all sometime during 2016. This year, companies like Becca and Lancome will be launching an assortment of color-correcting creams and concealers that help conquer dark under eye circles, redness, dullness, and many other skin issues.
